Each year, av福利社 awards more than $130,000 to foster new research and support travel.  The following four fellowships focus on creating new knowledge of the built environment around the world. Please note that each one has its own schedule for applications and award announcements.

av福利社 IDEAS Research Fellowship

Supporting scholars and topics underrepresented at av福利社 and the academy at large. Applications open annually in July.


Edilia and Fran莽ois Auguste de Mont锚quin Fellowship

Supporting travel related to research on Spanish, Portuguese, or Ibero-American architecture. Applications open annually in August.

HABS-av福利社 Sally Kress Tompkins Fellowship

Enables a graduate student to work on a 12-week HABS history project during the summer. Applications open annually in October.


Charles E. Peterson Fellowship

Support research and writing by a graduate student for av福利社 Archipedia, the Society鈥檚 online architectural resource. Applications open annually in October.
